I work on both sides of the hardware and software line. Right now that means three
things: a processor I designed in VHDL down to the ALU, a retrieval-augmented generation app that is
deployed and being used, and a guitar pedal that started on a breadboard and ended up
as a fabricated board.
I'm a Computer Engineering student at the University of Virginia. Firmware and digital
design are what I keep coming back to, mostly because I like how far down the stack you
can go before you hit physics. So far that has meant an 8-bit processor built and
verified in VHDL, a retrieval-augmented search app called Blackhawk AI running on Flask,
Supabase, and pgvector, and an analog boost pedal that went from a breadboard to a
fabricated two-layer board.
Outside of engineering I lead and mentor with Younglife.

standardizing configuration through Group Policy and Jamf Pro enrollment profiles to
bring machines to a working state on first boot.
Owned vulnerability management across 50+ endpoints via Qualys Patch Management,
driving remediation that cut the office's open-vulnerability count by 30%.
Served as first-line technical support for a 35-person office and redesigned the
SharePoint intranet, restructuring navigation so staff could self-serve procedures
and forms, keeping student-facing advising services running during peak season.
